Giveaway: Birthday giveaway prizes - CLOSED

You'll be pleased to know that I braved Oxford Street in the rain to secure the birthday giveaway prize today: you should count yourselves very lucky! I selected a few of my favourite products at the moment and have gone for some light, summery colours, despite the hideous weather we're having here in London. The winner will receive:

1 x Maybelline The Falsies mascara in Black
1 x No 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Flirtini, a gorgeous sheer pink that kind of looks like you've been eating a few too many cherries!
1 x Barry M limited edition nail paint in 30, a beautiful and intense lilac (a little darker and warmer than standard lilac and really pretty!)
1 x Aussie 3 Minute Miracle sachet
1 x Dermalogica Ultra Calming Cleanser sacher
1 x Armani Silk lipstick tester blister pack including Satin Silk (a rich, caramel nude), Pure Silk (a vamp-it-up Russian red) and Sparkling Silk (a slightly shimmery gloss)
1 x 7ml sample of Aveda Tourmaline Charged Hydrating Creme moisturiser
1 x 5ml sample of Aveda Tourmaline Charged Eye Creme

This competition will be open to the first 50 followers of this blog only, and for your chance to win, simply become a follower and tell me what your favourite, can't-live-without product is in the comments section below. The winner will be selected at random from the first 50 followers who have posted a comment. There are no restrictions on postage so you can enter this competition no matter where in the world you live! So what are you waiting for?

  1. My favourite, can't live without product has to be concealer. My current concealer of choice in MAC Select moisturecover but I'm still searching for the Holy Grail of under eye concealers. My dark circles are awful and without this product I look a fright!

  2. I don't think I could live without my concealer either, although mascara comes a close second!

I have recently been using Liz Earle's Daily Eye Repair which has really helped tone down my dark circles. In terms of make up, I have been known to use anything up to three under eye concealers to get a completely flawless finish! My top tip is to start with a yellow-toned concealer which counteracts the grey and then follow it up with a concealer as it looks too obvious on its own. I use LemonAid by Benefit which is meant for eyelids but works just as well underneath and really wakes your eyes up. I then use a liquid concealer - at the moment MAC's Select Cover-Up - and finally, when I'm going out or know I'll be having my photo taken, I finish by dabbing on a light reflecting concealer such as Armani's High Precision Retouch or YSL Touche Eclat. It sounds like a lot of products, but given that the skin under the eyes often appears so much darker, its good to even out tone and then add a light reflector to make the skin look bright and luminous.

    Hope that helps!

  3. Thank you so much Rachel! I recently got RMK basic liquid concealer and it's quite yellow and can look a little 'off' on it's own. I'd never thought about layering something over it but I'll give it a try! x

  5. I couldn't live without Liz Earle light moisturiser or vaseline! I also love Herbal Essences moisture hair mask ( the blue one ). It's great for damaged hair like mine :). I usually apply it after shampooing, put a shower cap on and leave it for a couple of hours.

I'm using MF False Lash Effect at the moment, which is great, but next time I'll be back to Maybelline The Falsies. I keep seeing the giveaway one and then remembering it's not for me! :( xxx

  10. The one product I can't live without is my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Fresco. If I absolutely had to, I could probably find drugstore dupes for everything else in my make-up bag and bathroom cabinet, but I MUST have my Double Wear!

I'm enjoying your blog, Rachel...I found it through Pixiwoos on Twitter.

  11. Thanks, Cindy: I'm glad you're enjoying the blog :)

Oooh I'm a big fan of Double Wear, but as I seem to try a new product everytime I run out of something, I haven't used it for a couple of years. It was one of the few foundations I remember that's given a really great, flawless finish, but I have to say, I'm getting similar results from Lancome's Teint Miracle - it's worth a test!
